Q-0012Psalm 22

Was Psalm 22 written a thousand years before crucifixion existed?

Not yet ranked

That is not the claim this study needs. The psalm is traditionally attributed to David, commonly placed approximately a millennium before Jesus’ crucifixion. That traditional dating is different from dating the invention of crucifixion, and exact composition dates require separate historical work.

The superscription attributes the psalm to David; it does not supply a calendar date. Keep the traditional attribution separate from what historical evidence can establish.

Traditional attribution and approximate chronology; not an established date for the origin of crucifixion.

Would the scriptural connection remain meaningful without an exact thousand-year claim?
