The teaching does not propose that flesh humans lived peacefully beside dinosaurs. It proposes that eternal souls inhabited non-flesh bodies. To a dinosaur, such a person would not be prey—no more part of its food system than the landscape itself. Where Scripture supports it: Job 38 places sons of God at the Earth’s foundations; Job 40 describes behemoth; 1 Corinthians 15 distinguishes kinds of flesh and natural from spiritual bodies. Why it matters: The distinction removes the false choice between an ancient Earth and Scripture: souls need not have occupied modern flesh bodies during the former age.
